Young Perseus must slay Medusa — the Gorgon whose gaze turns men to stone — to save his mother. Armed with gifts from the gods (winged sandals, a mirrored shield, and the helm of invisibility), he embarks on an impossible quest. Based on Ovid's Metamorphoses and Apollodorus's Bibliotheca.
