Chapter 6: The Death of Baldur

Baldur, the most beloved of the gods, begins having dreams of his own death. Frigg extracts oaths from everything in creation not to harm him — everything except mistletoe. Loki discovers this weakness and engineers the blind god Hodr to throw the fatal dart. The gods' attempt to rescue Baldur from Hel fails because of Loki's final treachery.
